WCA Postpones 2020 Global Gathering

Dear Members and Friends of the Wesleyan Covenant Association,

Earlier this year, when I wrote to invite you to the Wesleyan Covenant Association’s Fifth Global Gathering, I noted the COVID-19 pandemic was likely to impact our plans for this year’s event. As we have continued to monitor developments we recently made the difficult, but we believe wise decision, to postpone this year’s gathering that was scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2020.

However, we are very pleased to announce the following:

Our original host site, Frazer Church, in Montgomery, Alabama, has graciously agreed to host our rescheduled Fifth Global Gathering on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Furthermore, our entire line-up of great speakers – Bryan Collier, Eric Huffman, Krystl Johnson, Bishop Eduard Khegay, Carolyn Moore, Jonathan Razon, and Tim Tennent – will all be able to join us on that date!

We have also rescheduled our Third Global Legislative Assembly for Friday, April 30, 2021, at Frazer Church in Montgomery, Alabama. We will update our delegates regarding our assembly as the rescheduled date draws near.

Our original theme for the Fifth Global Gathering – Go Global! – will be as important as ever when we meet next year at Frazer Church and at approximately 100 simulcast sites. On that day – God willing – may thousands of us will join together to rededicate ourselves to the Great Commission!

Until then, let us pray for and minister to people who have contracted the COVID-19 virus, for people who grieve the loss of loved ones in the midst of the pandemic, and for millions of others who are experiencing its devastating economic consequences.

In the months ahead, we encourage you to read our weekly Outlook e-newsletter, listen to our biweekly podcast, Holy Conversations, and join us as we offer monthly video conferences to keep you informed, inspired, and prepared for the future.

We are grateful for your prayers and steadfast support as we journey together through the coming days.

In Christ,

Keith Boyette President
