WCA Set for Sixth Global Gathering, Registration Still Open

Updated: Apr 3, 2023

More Than Conquerors, the Wesleyan Covenant Association’s Sixth Global Gathering, will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Registration is still open for those who would like to attend the host site at Kingsway Christian Church or join one of the 70 simulcast sites across the country.

“We are looking forward to having many WCA members and friends join us in Indianapolis,” said WCA President, the Rev. Keith Boyette. “People will be coming from Africa, Eastern Europe, the Philippines, and the U.S., so it will truly be a global gathering once again as many are free to travel internationally this year. We’re also thankful for all the local churches that are opening their doors to serve as simulcast sites so others can join us. And eventually, even those who are not able to be with us on Saturday, May 7, will have the opportunity to watch recordings of all the presentations that will be made during the day.”

Formed in 2016 at its first global gathering in Chicago, Illinois, the Wesleyan Covenant Association has 55 regional chapters in Africa, Eastern Europe, and the U.S., representing thousands of members and friends around the world. In addition to Chicago, it has held gatherings in The Woodlands, Texas, Marietta, Georgia, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Montgomery, Alabama.

“Once again, we have a wonderful line-up of speakers,” said the Rev. Dr. Carolyn Moore, Chairwoman of the WCA’s Global Council and Lead Pastor at Mosaic Church in Evans, Georgia. “Rob Renfroe, Angela Pleasants, Stephanie Greenwald, Erik Grayson, Simon Mafunda, Suzanne Nicholson, and Matt Hook will make presentations. And then we are honored to have Bishop Mark Webb end our day with a meditation and to serve as our celebrant for a Holy Communion service.”

Moore will serve as the emcee for the gathering. “I’m looking forward to the challenging messages, and the joy of worshipping our risen Lord with my brothers and sisters,” she said. “And while I don’t want to give anything away, we’ll be sharing a major announcement that I’m sure our WCA members and friends will want to hear.”
