The Wesleyan Covenant Association of East Ohio:

Praising God for the marvelous movement of the Holy Spirit in establishing the Allegheny West Provisional Conference. You have done a tremendous work of responding to the call of God to reach out to the churches in East Ohio to consider joining this movement of the Holy Spirit.

We were invited by over two hundred churches to present how a denomination under the counsel of the Holy Spirit would serve the cause of Christ to reach a spiritually lost people and disciple believers in the Word. I personally appreciate all the effort, prayers, and support that touched the hearts of a vast number of people.

​

It is time for us to place our servant ministry behind the Global Methodist Church and close the work of the WCA with an awareness that a good work has been done. The East Ohio WCA Board voted to suspend the organization and place our resources firmly in promoting the Global Methodist Church. I admit ceasing the ministry of the WCA in East Ohio has been highly emotional for me and the writing of this letter did not come easy to me. Yet, I am in total agreement that it is time to refocus on the GMC.

Your WCA Board decided to place all remaining finances in an existing fund called the Robert Snyder Scholarship to support students enrolled in one of our approved seminaries. Rev. Robert Synder was a leader in the renewal movement and stood strong for the cause of Christ for decades in the East Ohio Conference. His influence remains a guiding light to this day.

We will keep our webpage presence online for a season with the guidance of Dave Huller, a lay person who will answer any questions directed to the WCA and direct people to resources available through the GMC. We appreciate Dave’s willingness to assist people during the transition to the Global Methodist Church.

Let us look to the future witnessing how God will guide and grow the Global Methodist Church.
